Angajaţii Consiliului Judeţean Bihor împreună cu reprezentanţi ai Primăriilor Bulz, Bratca, Şuncuiuş şi Vadu Crisului, ajutaţi cu bărcile de voluntari ai unei firme de sporturi extreme din Vadu Crişului au cules din apele Crişului Repede peste 80 de saci de PET-uri.

Acţiunea iniţiată de către Consiliul Judeţean Bihor şi-a propus ecologizarea cursului Crişului Repede, pe segmentul delimitat de intrarea acestuia în judeţul Bihor şi barajul de la Vadu Crişului, şi totodată, sensibilizarea locuitorilor din comunele străbatute de Crişul Repede cu privire la importanţa menţinerii râului cât mai curat. La timonă a fost chiar vicepreşedintele consiliului judeţean , Dumitru Voloşeniuc. Acesta, artizan al mai multor proiecte menite să revigoreze turismul bihorean, consideră că defileul Crişului Repede are un potenţial turistic extraordinar. Voloşeniuc este dezamăgit de faptul că frumuseţea naturală a zonei este ştirbită de mizeria aruncată în apă. Prin această acţiune, grupul lui Voloşeniuc a încercat să dea un exemplu şi să-i sensibilizeze pe localnici în legatură cu importanţa păstrării curate a apei Crişului. În urma acţiunii s-au strâns peste 80 de saci cu deşeuri din apa râului, şi alţi cinci saci a câte 200 de litri fiecare de pe cele două maluri. Grosul deşeurilor scoase din apă le-au reprezentat PET-urile, dar printre mizeriile strânse s-au numărat şi oale, cioburi de sticlă sau cauciucuri de maşină.
